About Us

For more than 18 years, the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Alabama doors have been open and has been at the forefront in youth development, working with young people from disadvantage economic, social and family circumstances. Here at the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Alabama we actively seek to enrich the lives of girls and boys in and around our community. We are dedicated to ensuring that our community's youth have access to quality programs and services that will enhance their lives and shape their futures in a positive way.

The Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Alabama is part of a nationwide affiliation of local autonomous organizations, and Boys and Girls Clubs of America working to help youth of all backgrounds develop the qualities needed to become responsible citizens and leaders. It is facility-based and offers daily access to a broad range of programs in five core program areas: Character and Leadership Development; Education and Career Development; Health and Life skills; The Arts; Fitness and Recreation.

We are proud to say that we have a good working relationship with the Thomasville City School system to help all of our children stay on track with their academic success. We offer tutoring for those who need the extra one-on-one help to keep them focused and on track with their grades.

We also take pride in teaching our youth that they need to give back to their community to learn to be productive citizens. We would like to reach out to our community to say that we are here for you; and if there is anything that we can do to help please contact the club and we will make the arrangements to come and help. Our kids are always wanting to get out and do some community service.

We would also like to say thank you to our donors and supporters who are so willing to help our kids and the club, without you none of this would be possible. Thank you for willingness to help make our club a safe and positive place for the youth in our community.

Great FUTURES start here at the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Alabama.
